There are cats that explore Australia and make Australia the world map.
British sailor Matthew Flinders found Australia. And his cat trim was born in 1799 when Flinders sailed from Cape of Good Hope to Botany Bay. At the time, sailors raised several cats to catch mice in the boat. The rats eat the sailors' food and wipe out important ropes.
The cat trim had once fallen from the ship into the sea, and swam by itself and came back on the ship. From then on Flinders began to show interest to Trim.
The name Trim comes from Lawrence Stern's book, Tristram Shandy.
Flinders described the trim as the best animal with smooth black hair and white feet and a white star in the chest. Trim, together with Flinders, explored several parts of Australia and the southern hemisphere.
Even when they were wrecked in the Great Barrier Reef, Trim swam safely to a small island.
Even when Flinders was in house arrest for six years, the trim was there. In the meantime, a war broke out between England and France.
Such a trim had disappeared in 1804. Flinders thought that hungry slaves ate cat, but there was no evidence. Flinders was greatly shocked after the cat's death.
He tried to build a monument for Trim, but he did not. But others who knew the story of Flinders and Trim made four statues in honor of the cat explorer Trim. Two in England and two in Australia.
Trim is probably the greatest explorer of all the cats in the world.
